iPhone 6s Price in Bangladesh | Why You Can’t Find It Anymore

In 2015, the iPhone 6s was considered a complete turning point in the mobile phone industry. It upped the ante in speed, provided us with cool upgrades on the camera and did the whole user-experience portion much better than the previous ones. It has been released with 3D Touch, the super-cool Live Photos, and is engraved into the Apple A9 chip. Holding it in your hand, it felt like a premium rock from Hell; it was available in Rose Gold, new, and was made of beefed-up 7000 series aluminium, which meant you were not going to bend this iPhone 6-style like in the 'Bendgate' incident.

To the Bangladesh users, it was practically the dream phone. High-quality hardware, no hitching when running around in everyday tasks, and robust software support until 2020, the stuff you could hardly get on a similarly-priced Android phone at that time.

The Glory of iPhone 6s: What Made It So Popular?

Take it back to 2015, and the most popular iPhone in Bangladesh was the 6s. People adored the faster speed, a finer camera, and the slim profile Apple released in September.

Jump to 2025, and the chances are that you will not find an iPhone 6s being exhibited in most stores. As you can see, when you enter “iPhone 6s price in Bangladesh” in the search, you will find that most of them are already listed as being out of stock. Then what happened?

The snag is that the 6s did not come with the features that would be introduced later with devices such as the iPhone 12 series, which boasts 5G capabilities, a square edge design, and an impressive pixel resolution camera. The 6s could not even compete.

Second, the price of phones continued to reduce. Brands introduced lower-end models that were feature-packed; the main advantage was that the lower-income consumers could avoid spending a significant amount on a high-end model, such as the 6s.

And third, Apple itself turned off the power. The updates to the older models were too frequent, and the 6s could not keep up with them, so at some point, the company ceased to support it.

And what about the final result? The device that used to be the conversation piece is pushed to the back of the shelves, one that is hardly available nowadays.

Is the iPhone 6s Still Available in Bangladesh in 2025?

I’m not going to give you false hope; the clear answer is No, not officially. But you can get some old or refurbished ones in a shop. But it’s almost out of the whole Bangladeshi Market.

Apple discontinued the production of iPhone 6s a few years ago, in 2018, and the remaining products went on sale sometime in 2020. In Bangladesh, a couple of older models or imports, although they could still be found in smaller stores, were still available as late as 2022 or 2023. Let's skip to the future of 2025, and it is virtually impossible to find a brand-new, boxed iPhone 6s with a warranty. You can probably expect to see:

• Refurbished or used

• Outside guarantee

• Operating older versions of iOS

• Unable to run with the latest apps or features

Admittedly, having an iPhone 6s is a nostalgic experience. Still, the risks of battery wear, software obsolescence, and the scarcity of spare components make it a poor purchase, except as a sentimental or trophy device.

iPhone 6s Price in Bangladesh (When It Was Available)

It is a speed tour into the past. This was the estimated price of the iPhone 6s in Bangladesh in 2015-2017:

• iPhone 6s 16Gb: BDT62000

• IPhone 6s 32 GB: BDT 67,000

• iPhone 6s 64 GB: BDT 71,500

• iPhone 6s 128GB: 76,000 BDT

The pricing labels fluctuated slightly, depending on whether a particular colour was available and the temperature at that moment - Rose Gold and Space Grey were the most popular options.

Fast-forward to the pre-owned-phone market fifteen years later in 2020, 2023, and those figures plummeted off the cliff:

• iPhone 6s 32GB: BDT 10,000 to 15,000

• Refurbished iPhone 6s: BDT 17,000 -22,000

However, the third point is that even refurbished models will be challenging to find by 2025 due to hardware becoming outdated, and the software is also falling behind.

What Should You Buy Instead?

The iPhone 6s is an absolute legend in the Apple universe - it is hardy, sharp in appearance, and has a smooth operation. Nevertheless, one has to forget about it.

Therefore, in case you are looking at a low-cost iPhone with relatively strong support and sufficient hardware here in Bangladesh, then these are the ones you should look at:

  • iPhone 11 - super camera and a quick chip

  • iPhone 12 - flagship-grade performance at a discount

  • iPhone 13 / 14 / 15 - more modern, quicker and futureproof
